This project called for sash windows which are up to 2.2m high, 1.2m wide and double glazed; conventional systems could not be used in this instance due to the size and weight of the sashes. We developed our own vertical sliding sash windows especially for this project using heavy duty door sections as the basis.

Alumac installed all the aluminium doors and windows at this project, of special interest were the laser cut aluminium panels inserted into double glazed units.

The design of this modern home called for very large sliding doors over 10 metres wide by 3 metres high in keeping with the open plan layout of the house.

Alumac manufactured and installed the aluminium screens on the bottom of either side of the bridge using solid aluminium square bars which were welded in a random pattern providing visual interest as well as a functional safety barrier. We also supplied various screens using solid aluminium square bars to conceal lighting in the main bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area.
